Sad memory of teacher Fatima Gunić and her students

Twenty-nine sad years since the murder of teacher Fatima Gunić and her students Adis Mujal, Vedad Mujkanović, and Feđa Salkić have been marked today.

An aggressor’s grenade fired from the direction of Nedžarić hit the premises where classes were held.

On this occasion, mayor Benjamina Karić and city councilor Alemo Logo, on behalf of the City of Sarajevo, laid flowers and paid tribute at the place where the teacher and her students were killed, in front of the “Fatima Gunić” Elementary School in ZAVNOBiH Square.

“I deeply sympathize with the families who lost their loved ones, their children. We have to fight with knowledge, to invest in better conditions and our children’s future,” said Mayor Karić.

The sad commemoration was attended by numerous citizens and families of the victims, as well as other representatives of the authorities.
