The 29th anniversary of the murder of Sarajevo citizens in front of the Elementary School “Safvet – beg Bašagić” was marked today

In front of the “Safvet-beg Bašagić” elementary school, at the intersection of Gimnazijska and Obala Kulina Bana streets, on December 14th, 1993, eight citizens of Sarajevo were killed and ten were seriously and slightly wounded due to the explosive effect of a mortar grenade fired from the aggressor’s positions.

On this occasion, on behalf of the City of Sarajevo, city councilor Amra Zulfikarpašić laid flowers and paid tribute in memory of the killed citizens.

On that tragic day, Vildana Avdić, Dina Čomor, Rusmir Čopelj, Azra Hanić, Lejla Jahić, Razija Jahić, Amir Krivić and Dino Šipilović were killed

Family members of the victims, as well as representatives of Sarajevo Canton, Centar, and Stari Grad municipalities, the Union of Civilian War Victims of Sarajevo Canton, the Association of Parents of Children Killed in Besieged Sarajevo 1992-1995 and the Association of Civilian War Victims “Svjetlost” attended the commemoration of the 29th anniversary.
